Create your kids a good habit to travel. Collect them great memories.

Jul 4, 2016
Our toddler loves traveling and we always try him to have a good experience and to remain with great memories from each of our getaway or holiday. He loves planes, trains, cars and even public transport, as every toddler he gets bored if our trips last more than an hour, but we to take some toys for him, or sing songs with him, and always have fun.

Now, we have a baby who is just 2 months and he doesn't have such experience as his brother, so we thought, it is good to begin one day. Our first getaway of the last weekend were Tossa (Tossa del Mar) in Costa Brava. Our baby boy, I think, will be a great traveller, as he stayed very quiet all the way from Barcelona to Tossa, I was impressed as I didn't expect him to be as quiet as he was.

We have been at the beaches of Tossa, enjoyed great weather and not as cold water as I have expected there to be. We have visited the castle and other lovely places of this amazing place in Costa Brava.

Our family, for sure, got another great traveller to the board, and we will share with you our experience as traveling family of 4.

How to eat and not to get fat during pregnancy?

Jun 6, 2016
It is obvious that every pregnant woman get some kg during pregnancy and it is inevitable to be big. Here I want you to propose some tips that helped me not to gain too many kgs and as well not feel hungry during the day.

1. Eat 6 times a day, this I have read as a tip in a lot of books and journals, I was eating like 8-10 times a day in very little quantities. 3 basic meals, and fruits during other times I wanted to eat.

2. From 3 basic meals, 1 of them was most important and pleasant for me, breakfast time, I eated a lot of carbonohydrates, like bread and cereals and even biscuits. Other times I didn't eat bread, that is why this time of the day was most pleasant for me.

3. Eat a little amount, but everything. Do not stop to eat food tt contain big amount of calories like macaroons or bread or cereals. It is important not to abuse with these, but all of you know that such food is also important for our body.

4. Eat less chocolates and food with high sugar additives. During my first pregnancy I ate a lot of chocolates and then I had to make a diet with my doctor. I made just 1 week diet and the results were amazing, so I had to limit myself from chocolates. I learned the lesson and on my second pregnancy I ate few chocolates.

5. Eat less sugar and salt.

Enjoy your pregnancy time!

Some tips if you want to enjoy breakfast on the beach

Feb 1, 2015
I love Sundays, and specially when it is a good weather outside, because we can enjoy this time with a great breakfast on the beach. We used to do this in automn and once or twice in december, this year it is our first time as others weeks it was windy and not as sunny as it was today. It is a great time spent in a family, as we stay together, enjoy the waves, the fresh air, and see other people enjoying great time with theirs family as well.

What we take for going to take our breakfast at the beach:

- a mattress or something similar for sitting down

- water, milk, fruit, or croisant for Damian

- our breakfast (thermos with coffee, donuts or something similar that is easy to eat)

- a toy, like a ball or something which Damian enjoys to play with

- great mood

Below see how we enjoyed our breakfast today.

Little farm in the heart of Barcelona

Jan 12, 2015
Last week we found out that we have a little farm not so far from where we live, it´s like 10 minutes walking. It is Hort Masia Can Cadena, more information you can get here. I knew about this park, because time ago I saw people raise vegetables there, but I didn´t know that there are domestic animals as well. I began to browse on internet more information about this park, and for my big surprise I found that there are few specialties of domestic animals. There you can see a part of farm life almost in the heart of Barcelona.

This weekend is the second time when we went with Damian to this little farm. There are raised sheeps, rabbits, ducks, goats, geese, chickens and roosters. It was really fun to go there with my toddler, as now he develops another life, and as he can´t tell us that this is a sheep, he can tell us ¨beee¨ and we understand what he means. It is interesting as, Damian is keen to learn new sounds, and even more when it is about the animals. All children love animals, and domestic ones are the first who they meet and have a special attraction.

It is a great opportunity for children who grow up in big cities to have this kind of things and don´t need to look up for a farm that is out of the city.

See below some pictures how Damian enjoyed this experience :)

Sledding

Dec 21, 2014
Yesterday we went for sledding to ´La Molina´, it is not so far from Barcelona, almost 2 hours by car. The main reason of this getaway was to disconect from a daily routine and to have fun with our lovely kid. It is not his first time when he sees snow, but it is his first time sledding. We didn´t expect too much from Damian, but we´ve seen how much he enjoyed his first experience on a sledge. As well dad explain what is snow, and played with him with snow balls :).Below some images.

In a fairy tale - Andorra

Dec 9, 2014
This week I think I´ll manage to change the format of the blog, as there is so many things to say as I cannot just keep the same format of the blog. One of the page will be dedicated to travel. Because before I thought to share just things about how Damian is growing, but now I understand that one of the part of our life is travelling.

As we had a long weekend, we decided to go somewere around and to visit new places. We haven´t bought any flight, we thought that it will be a good idea to go by car. We choose Andorra, not just the city Andorra la Vella, but as well some other towns like Encamp (here we stayed for night), La Solana, Pas de la Casa and other little villages.

I filled up our luggage with a lot of unuseful things, like ´if, I´ll need it´, and then when we´ve got there I found that I forgot the most important thing - THE BALL. I was so afraid that my child won´t have enough clothes, that made me totally forget his ball. The ball is one of the toys that keeps him busy much longer than any other toy.

Andorra is about 3 hours by car, from Barcelona to Andorra, if trust Google of course :). But in case you get in a traffic jam as we did, it takes you at least 5 hours. Nothing bad, if you don´t have a child in his chair, that is bored to sit so long way there. To make him fill better, we were singing a lot, playing with hands, telling stories...but at the end we made a stop and 15 minutes we took him up from his chair just to play with him. The best thing is that he didn´t cry and when he was bored he was just trying to get out from his chair.

This getaway was planned mostly for sightseeing, as well we thought that it would be a good idea to go sleigh, but at the end it was snowing and so cold that we decided to see other towns by car and walking or playing with Damian.

It was a great weekend, but now we have to cure Damian´s cold :(.

So here are some marvelous pictures from the fairy tale Andorra.

In these pictures is not Andorra, is Puigcerdá, a city from Catalonia, where we stoped for half an hour, as Damian was really tired to stay just in the car. There we find a great parc with a big lake and with wonderful sightseeing.

Girona - a place to go!

Dec 3, 2014
Last weekend we went on a getaway, not so far from Barcelona, a place that I think you have to go if you come to Barcelona. We decided that it would be great to visit a new place, and to spent some time within our little..BIG family.

Damian is one of the children who like to go on holidays, I think so, because when we go out he always accepts to stay on his pushing chair, the thing that he doesn't like if we go for walking. As well I like to go out for a day or two as it is easier to manage his energy and to accomplish all his wishes.

What about the food, now it is much easier as before, he eats almost all the things that we do, the only think I need is boiled water before he sleeps for his bottle.

Below you can see some fascinating pictures about this old city - GIRONA. But before I would like to share how we pack our bag for getaways.

BAG:

1. Diapers + wipes + changer

2. Bottle of water (and a big one, :))

3. Two or three pairs of clothes

4. A ball to play with, and other toys to play with in the car

5. of course his lovely music, or a disc with the songs that he knows if you don't want to listen all way long how he cries.

6. Food (not special food, but the things that he can eat alone, like biscuits, bread, etc)

this is not Girona, it is on our way back, great views

that's the reason I like getaways :)
