Toddler outside activity. Playing with sand.

Jul 1, 2016
It is summer and one of my favorite outside activities is to go to the beach. But what to do, if you have a toddler, who enjoys a lot sea and beach, and a newborn baby who can't stay more than an hour at the beach, and you have to go or early in the morning or late in the evening? The answer is to go to the park and play with toddler there with sand...hmmm...not the same... I know... Even though, my toddler loves sand and even more he adores time when I play with him. Once he is a big brother we spent less time together, as he has to play with daddy or alone while mummy takes care of little one. And I feel that we have to play and spent more time together.

Playing with sand - is a great montessori and fine motor skills activity.  And of course, is one of the easiest activity when you want to spend some time with your toddler, to disconnect from all the things that are not done. Toddler develops his imagination, thinking, concentration and in the same time he knows that there is a person who appreciate his work.

Try to play with sand with your kid, I asure you that you will enjoy even more than your kid.

5 things to take with you at the beach. Dedicated to mums with toddlers

Jul 13, 2015
Last year I have written a similar post , please look here, but it was dedicated to mums with babies. Now, I decided to share some tips for mums with toddlers.

During last two weeks in Barcelona was too hot, and we went to the beach as many times as we could, as in our flat it was almost impossible to stay. Our toddler really loves the idea to bath in the sea, and to refresh a little bit. Every day at the beach, suppose to have our bag ready to go. That is why I have my top things to take with us and do not miss anything while laying at beach.

Here you go with our 5 Top things to take with you, when you have a toddler:

1. A cap and changing clothes - toddlers like to run and throw away sand, and it something normal that I have to change his clothes on our way back to home.

2. Toys , we take a lot of toys with us, the most important toy is our ball, as our son enjoys playing football with his father.

3. Food and water -  it is commonly known that at the beach you get hungry and thirsty, be ready your child will have a higher appetite there.

4. Solar cream - we take one with highest protection, as our kid had chickenpox, and it is highly recommended to expose less his skin to the sun for almost one year after he had chickenpox.

5. Towel and beach blanket.

If you have some special things that you use to take with your kid at the beach, please share.
